taste buds
The primary symptom of schizophrenia is a defect in the pleasure response. The resulting pain provokes madness. Pain makes us ugly.

Pygmalion was a sculptor who made a marble statue of his ideal woman. This statue was so lovely that he soon fell in love with it and treated it like a human. He named the statue Galatea, kissed her, caressed her and looked at her with desire. But contemplating Galatea was not enough. Beauty craves interaction and Pygmalion needed to live her as well. So he begged Afrodite to turn his marble into flesh. She did. And that’s how Pygmalion was lucky enough to live out his ideals. I want to be like Pygmalion.
Taste is not just in the mouth.
